After two years of severe contraction, the general advertising market in Spain improved slightly from a bottom level in 2009.

20 Minutos is Spain’s most-read general newspaper, with a daily readership of 2.3 million on weekdays. The newspaper comes out in 15 different local versions that cover Spain's largest urban areas.

The readership figures fell slightly compared to 2009, which was due to reduced circulation. Despite this, the distance to the other free newspapers is growing.

20minutos.es

  • A major relaunch of 20minutos.es in November 2010 attracted a significant attention in Spain.
  • Strong commitment to developing user interaction, new platforms and services.

20minutos.es continues to grow and is Spain’s third largest online news site with almost 13 million unique users per month at the beginning of 2011.
