Schibsted Media Group is selling the film distribution company Sandrew Metronome Norge AS to Oslo Kino AS. – This is a good solution for what we consider an important player in the film industry, says CEO Rolv Erik Ryssdal of Schibsted Media Group.
The takeover date is June 1, 2011.
- It has been important for Schibsted Media Group to find a good overall solution for such an important player in the Norwegian film industry as Sandrew Metronome Norge. We believe the transaction will contribute to maintain diversity within Norwegian film. We are pleased to pass the company on to such a serious and competent owner as Oslo Kino, says CEO Rolv Erik Ryssdal.
Sandrew Metronome Norge AS will be organized as a subsidiary of Oslo Kino AS under the name “Norsk Filmdistribusjon” (Norwegian Film Distribution), which was the company’s original name.
- This is very exciting. We find it both positive and inspiring that Oslo Kino will be our new owners, not at least because film is their core business. This means that we now can keep developing the commitment and experience that the company possesses today, says Frida Ohrvik, CEO of Sandrew Metronome Norge.
